Rocelia Martinez: 
- How do you feel about next week being your last week here at AHS?
“Honestly, I feel excited and nervous at the same time. Excited because I’ll be starting a new chapter in my life, but at the same time nervous because time is literally flying. We’re now a couple of days away from graduating and many of us are going separate ways.”
2. What did you like about your Senior year?
“I most enjoyed being involved around campus, whether it was with Link Crew or RSVP. I had the best time. I met new people I created strong bonds with. I also enjoyed taking AP Gov with Mr. Mejia.”
3. What did you not like about it?
“I didn’t like getting the feeling of senioritis. Although I hate to admit it, I procrastinated a little too much this year.”
4. What are your plans after high school?
“After high school I plan to attend Cal State Fullerton to major in Education. Get involved throughout my college campus and outside community. As well as to keep working a part-time job.”
5. What is your advice for the upcoming seniors?
“My advice for the upcoming seniors is to make the best out of their senior year. Get involved and participate in many activities since after high school things will look different.”
Anakin Reyes:
1. How do you feel about next week being your last week here at AHS?
“Honestly, I feel excited to graduate soon. I’m sad I won’t see my friends anymore, but I’m happy for them and what goals they’re gonna succeed in.”
2. What did you like about your senior year?
“I enjoy the new people I met this year and spending one last time with all my friends. I enjoy the decision I made this year and staying out of trouble.”
3. What did you not like about it?
“I didn’t like me ditching my classes during this senior year (I did enjoy it). One last time with my best friends.”
4. What are your plans after high school?
“After school I’m heading to Cal Poly Pomona to major in kinesiology. I want to be a boxing coach to coach adults and kids to reach their goals to become the best, like I never had after my injury.”
5. What is your advice for the upcoming seniors?
“Advice to upcoming seniors: have fun in high school (not too much fun). Enjoy every single moment with your friends, be active, join a club, go to the school events and enjoy every moment with your friends. Stay out of trouble and don’t ruin your last year in high school. Enjoy it cuz you won’t experience it again.”
Kal-El Polanco:
- How do you feel about next week being your last week here at AHS?
“Nervous for sure I am going to miss a lot of people that I formed bonds with but I will try my best to keep these bonds by keeping in touch with these people after high school. I think, however, I am going to have fun in these next couple years in my college life because I chose to go and try to find myself .”
2. What did you like about your senior year?
“Senior year was definitely my best year. I got to meet a ton of cool people and, most importantly, I was able to catch up with people I haven’t seen in years. Senior year really gave me a chance to mature and realize that this is it. I’m becoming an adult.”
3. What did you not like about it?
“I did not like how uncertain I am on a career I honestly still have no idea what I want to do with my time in college but that’s why I decided to take the free two year tuition at Fullerton in order to have time in the environment of college to decide what it is I want to pursue.”
4. What are your plans after high school?
“I plan to go to a 2 year college called Fullerton and then see what I end up deciding to major there and then spend those two years making the most of my time there to be able to decide what career interests me the most in order to pursue it.”
5, What is your advice for the upcoming seniors?
“That’s a tough question, all I can say is while very simple it is to surround yourself with people who will strive to be better, you want people that you are proud to be around but you can also trust to have your back and they will support you down the career you choose while at a distance following their own path.”
Angel Isidro:
- How do you feel about next week being your last week here at AHS?
“I feel super nervous for the future but also very very excited to see what life has to offer.”
2. What did you like about your senior year?
“Hanging out with friends and meeting new people this year.”
3. What did you not like about it?
“The remembrance that this is my last year and I’m growing up.”
4. What are your plans after high school?
“Going to Cal Poly Pomona to major in political science and step into politics. I hope for one day to be a candidate for Governor of California.”
5. What is your advice for upcoming seniors?
“Participate as much as you can. If you aren’t in any clubs, join them. If you’ve never joined a sport, you can always try it out. Don’t just sit back and not participate in things, you can even go to football games if clubs and sports aren’t your thing. You’ll meet amazing people with amazing stories to tell and all you need to do is just show up for that moment.”

Rocelia Martinez:
- ¿Cómo te sientes sabiendo que la próxima semana será tu última semana aquí en AHS?
“Sinceramente, me siento emocionada y nerviosa al mismo tiempo. Emocionada porque voy a comenzar un nuevo capítulo en mi vida, pero, a la vez, nerviosa porque el tiempo, literalmente, está volando. Ya estamos a solo un par de días de graduarnos y muchos de nosotros tomaremos caminos separados.”
2. ¿Qué fue lo que más te gustó de tu último año?
“Lo que más disfruté fue involucrarme en las actividades del campus, ya fuera con Link Crew o con RSVP. La pasé de maravilla. Conocí a gente nueva con la que formé vínculos muy fuertes. También disfruté tomando la clase de Gobierno AP con el Sr. Mejía.”
3. ¿Qué no te gustó?
“No me gustó tener esa sensación de ‘senioritis.’ Aunque me cuesta admitirlo, este año procrastinar un poco demasiado.”
4.¿Cuáles son tus planes después de High School?
“Después de terminar la escuela secundaria, planeo asistir a Cal State Fullerton para especializarme en Educación. Tengo la intención de involucrarme tanto en el campus universitario como en la comunidad externa, además de continuar trabajando a tiempo parcial.”
5. ¿Cuál es tu consejo para los futuros estudiantes de último año?
“Mi consejo para los futuros estudiantes de último año es que aprovechen al máximo su último año. Involúcrese y participe en muchas actividades, ya que, después de la escuela secundaria, las cosas serán diferentes.”

- ¿Cómo te sientes sabiendo que la próxima semana será tu última semana aquí en AHS?
“Sinceramente, me siento emocionado por graduarme pronto. Me entristece no volver a ver a mis amigos, pero me alegro por ellos y por las metas que lograrán alcanzar.”
2. ¿Qué fue lo que más te gustó de tu último año?
“Disfruté de las nuevas personas que conocí este año y de pasar una última vez con todos mis amigos. Disfruté de la decisión que tomé este año y de mantenerme alejado de los problemas.”
3. ¿Qué no te gustó?
“No me gustó saltarme las clases durante este último año (aunque sí lo disfruté). Una última vez con mis mejores amigos.”
4. ¿Cuáles son tus planes después de High School?
“Al terminar la escuela, iré a Cal Poly Pomona para especializarme en kinesiología. Quiero ser entrenador de boxeo para guiar a adultos y niños a alcanzar sus metas y convertirse en los mejores, algo que yo nunca tuve después de mi lesión.”
5. ¿Cuál es tu consejo para los futuros estudiantes de último año?
“Consejo para los futuros estudiantes de último año: diviértanse en la escuela secundaria (pero no demasiado). Disfruten de cada momento con sus amigos, manténganse activos, únanse a algún club, asistan a los eventos escolares y disfruten de cada instante junto a sus amigos. Eviten meterse en problemas y no arruinen su último año en la escuela secundaria. Disfrútenlo, porque no volverán a vivirlo.”
Kal-El Polanco:
- ¿Cómo te sientes sabiendo que la próxima semana será tu última semana aquí en AHS?
“Sin duda estoy nervioso; voy a extrañar a muchas de las personas con las que formé vínculos, pero haré todo lo posible por mantener esas relaciones manteniéndome en contacto con ellas después de la secundaria. Sin embargo, creo que me divertiré durante los próximos años de mi vida universitaria, ya que he decidido ir y tratar de encontrarme a mí mismo.”
2.¿Qué fue lo que más te gustó de tu último año?
“El último año fue, sin duda, mi mejor año. Pude conocer a muchísima gente genial y, lo que es más importante, pude reencontrarme con personas a las que no veía desde hacía años. El último año realmente me dio la oportunidad de madurar y darme cuenta de que esto es todo: me estoy convirtiendo en adulto.”
3. ¿Qué no te gustó?
“No me gustó sentirme tan inseguro respecto a mi carrera; sinceramente, todavía no tengo ni idea de qué quiero hacer con mi tiempo en la universidad. Por eso decidí aprovechar la matrícula gratuita de dos años en Fullerton: para tener tiempo, dentro del entorno universitario, para decidir qué es lo que realmente quiero seguir.”
4. ¿Cuáles son tus planes después de High School?
“Tengo pensado asistir a una universidad de dos años llamada Fullerton; una vez allí, veré qué especialidad decido cursar y dedicaré esos dos años a aprovechar al máximo mi tiempo, con el fin de determinar qué carrera es la que más me interesa para así poder dedicarme a ella.”
5. ¿Cuál es tu consejo para los futuros estudiantes de último año?
“Esa es una pregunta difícil; lo único que puedo decir es que, si bien resulta muy sencillo rodearse de personas que se esfuercen por ser mejores, lo ideal es tener cerca a gente de la que te sientas orgulloso, pero en la que también puedas confiar plenamente para que te cubra las espaldas y te brinde su apoyo a lo largo de la carrera profesional que elijas, aun manteniendo cierta distancia para seguir su propio camino.”
Angel Isidro:
- ¿Cómo te sientes sabiendo que la próxima semana será tu última semana aquí en AHS?
“Me siento súper nervioso por el futuro, pero también muy, muy emocionado por ver lo que la vida tiene para ofrecer.”
2. ¿Qué fue lo que más te gustó de tu último año?
“Pasar el rato con amigos y conocer gente nueva este año.”
3. ¿Qué no te gustó?
“El recuerdo de que este es mi último año y de que estoy creciendo.”
4. ¿Cuáles son tus planes después de High School?
“Voy a ir a Cal Poly Pomona para especializarme en Ciencias Políticas e incursionar en la política. Espero algún día ser candidato a gobernador de California.”
5. ¿Cuál es tu consejo para los futuros estudiantes de último año?
“Participa tanto como puedas. Si no formas parte de ningún club, únete a alguno. Si nunca has practicado ningún deporte, siempre puedes probar. No te quedes simplemente sentado sin participar en nada; incluso puedes asistir a los partidos de fútbol si los clubes y los deportes no son lo tuyo. Conocerás a personas increíbles con historias fascinantes que contar, y todo lo que tienes que hacer es simplemente presentarte en ese momento.”
