Valentina Morales is a 15 year old freshman. She is new to Anaheim High School but is enjoying her first year here. Valentina is a very friendly, social, and caring person. Her family is from both Mexico with her mom being from Nayarit and her dad from Durango. She shares that her heritage has been something that has greatly shaped how and who she is today. Specifically, her being able to visit her family from those places has made her fall in love with her culture and expose her to struggles that are faced which in turn has made her more grateful. School wise Valentina is involved in many clubs at Anaheim, them being DLA, Puente, and Anaheim’s volleyball team. She may be quite involved but would like to join 1-2 more clubs for the following year.
Currently, Valentina is very passionate about her academics with the end of year closely approaching and her wanting for it to end on a good note. By being passionate in her academics, she will be able to end her year strong and have more freedom during the summer and not have to worry. As mentioned, Valentina is a part of the volleyball team which is one of her biggest accomplishments – especially being a part of the varsity team while only being a freshman. The varsity team was even able to end up as finalists for CIF. Valentina’s friends and family describe her as a calm, outgoing, and funny person. Her days consist of getting to school on time, then attending volleyball practice and finally being in bed by 11pm.
A fun fact about Valentina is that she would love to explore the world in the future. Along with that she hopes to be able to make her own money, have a family, and end her educational journey by receiving a doctorate. In a couple of years Valentina sees herself being on vacation. She also shares that her favorite movie of all time is La La Land. Lastly Valentina shares that in the future she would like to become a cosmetic dermatologist.
Valentina Morales es una estudiante de primer año de 15 años. Ella es nueva en Anaheim High School, pero está disfrutando mucho su primer año allí. Valentina es una persona muy amigable, sociable y cariñosa. Su familia es de México; su mamá es de Nayarit y su papá de Durango. Ella comparte que su herencia cultural ha sido algo que ha influido mucho en cómo es hoy en día. Especialmente, poder visitar a su familia en esos lugares la ha hecho enamorarse más de su cultura y también le ha permitido ver las dificultades que muchas personas enfrentan, lo cual la ha hecho más agradecida. En la escuela, Valentina participa en muchos clubes de Anaheim, como DLA, Puente y el equipo de vóleibol de Anaheim. Aunque ya está muy involucrada, le gustaría unirse a uno o dos clubes más el próximo año escolar.
Actualmente, Valentina está muy enfocada en sus estudios porque el final del año escolar se acerca y quiere terminarlo de una buena manera. Al esforzarse en sus clases, podrá terminar el año con éxito y tener más libertad durante el verano sin preocupaciones. Como se mencionó antes, Valentina forma parte del equipo de vóleibol, lo cual es uno de sus mayores logros, especialmente porque es parte del equipo varsity siendo solo estudiante de primer año. El equipo varsity incluso logró llegar a las finales de CIF. Sus amigos y familia la describen como una persona tranquila, extrovertida y divertida. Sus días consisten en llegar a la escuela a tiempo, asistir a las prácticas de vóleibol y finalmente dormir a las 11 de la noche.
Un dato interesante sobre Valentina es que le gustaría explorar el mundo en el futuro. Además, espera poder ganar su propio dinero, tener una familia y terminar su educación obteniendo un doctorado. En un par de años, Valentina se imagina estando de vacaciones. También comparte que su película favorita de todos los tiempos es La La Land. Finalmente, Valentina dice que en el futuro le gustaría convertirse en dermatóloga cosmética.
