Anaheim is mostly known for Disneyland, but there’s honestly way more to do there than just the theme park. Don’t get me wrong, Disneyland is amazing, the rides, the food, and the fireworks never get old. Walking down Main Street and seeing the castle always feels magical, no matter how many times you’ve been. But not everyone can go all the time, and luckily, Anaheim has a bunch of other fun spots that are just as cool in their own way.
One of my favorite places to go is the Anaheim Packing House. It’s this huge old building that got turned into a food hall, and it’s packed with different food places. You can find stuff like boba, sushi, crepes, and even fancy grilled cheese. It’s a really chill place to hang out with friends, and there’s usually live music or people just hanging out on the steps outside. It’s also super pretty inside, so it’s perfect if you like taking pictures for Instagram or just want to enjoy the vibe.
Another fun spot is Angel Stadium. Even if you’re not a big baseball fan, going to a game is still a good time. The crowd is always hyped, the food is really good (nachos and pretzels are the best), and sometimes they do fireworks after the games. It’s one of those things that makes you feel like you’re really part of Anaheim.
If you want something that’s a little more laid-back but still has that Disney feeling, Downtown Disney is perfect. It’s free to walk around, and there are lots of shops and restaurants to check out. The LEGO store is awesome, and the ice cream at Salt & Straw is so good. They have the weirdest flavors but somehow they taste amazing.
If you’re looking for something more outdoorsy, Pearson Park is a great place to go. It’s super peaceful with big lakes, bike paths, and grassy areas where you can just sit and relax. My friends and I like going there on weekends to hang out, listen to music, or take pictures by the water. It’s also a really nice place to watch the sunset. It feels like a little escape from the busy city and theme park crowds.
Overall, Anaheim has a mix of everything: excitement, food, sports, and quiet places to chill. Whether you want to go on rides, eat something new, or just hang out with your friends, there’s always something to do. Even though Disneyland will always be the most famous part of Anaheim, the city has so many other spots that make it just as fun and worth exploring. So next time you’re bored, grab some friends and go check it out. You might end up finding a new favorite place.
Anaheim es más conocido por Disneyland, pero en verdad hay mucho más que hacer ahí que solo el parque. No me malinterpretes, Disneyland es increíble — los juegos, la comida y los fuegos artificiales nunca se ponen aburridos. Caminar por Main Street y ver el castillo siempre se siente mágico, no importa cuantas veces vayas. Pero no todos pueden ir todo el tiempo, y por suerte, Anaheim tiene muchos otros lugares que también son super divertidos.
Uno de mis lugares favoritos es el Anaheim Packing House. Es un edificio viejo que lo convirtieron en un lugar lleno de comida, como un tipo de mercado. Hay de todo: boba, sushi, crepas y hasta grilled cheese. Es un lugar muy chill para pasar el rato con amigos, y a veces hay música en vivo o gente sentada afuera nomás platicando. También es muy bonito por dentro, perfecto si te gusta tomar fotos para Instagram o nomás disfrutar el ambiente.
Otro lugar divertido es el Angel Stadium. Aunque no seas fan del béisbol, ir a un juego es super divertido. La gente grita mucho, la comida está buena (los nachos y los pretzels son los mejores) y a veces hacen fuegos artificiales después del juego. Te sientes parte de la ciudad cuando vas.
Si quieres algo más relajado pero todavía con el ambiente de Disney, Downtown Disney está perfecto. Es gratis caminar por ahí, y hay muchas tiendas y restaurantes. La tienda de LEGO está padrísima, y el helado en Salt & Straw esta buenisimo tienen sabores medio raros pero saben bien ricos.
Si buscas algo más tranquilo, el Parque Pearson está super bien. Es muy bonito, con lagos, caminos para bici y áreas donde puedes sentarte y relajarte. A veces yo voy con mis amigos los fines de semana a escuchar música, tomar fotos o solo platicar. Es un buen lugar para ver el atardecer también. Se siente como escaparte un rato del ruido de la ciudad.
En general, Anaheim tiene un poco de todo diversión, comida, deportes y lugares para descansar. No importa si quieres subirte a juegos, probar comida nueva o solo pasar el rato, siempre hay algo que hacer. Aunque Disneyland es lo más famoso, hay muchos otros lugares en Anaheim que hacen la ciudad igual de divertida. Así que la próxima vez que estés aburrido, junta a tus amigos y sal a explorar tal vez encuentres un nuevo lugar favorito.
