As of October 13, Cristiano Ronaldo is returning to Turin, Italy, after testing positive for COVID-19. Juventus has confirmed that Ronaldo will go home and practice isolation after his flight from Portugal was authorized.

Before leaving Portugal, Ronaldo submitted an evaluation by health authorities and signed a term of responsibility. Upon his arrival to Turin, he will be observed and be in custody of Italian health officials. There will be further tests that will evaluate the extent of his well-being.

Since Ronaldo has been on international duty with the Portugal national team, his teammates have been tested for possible symptoms. As of Wednesday, his teammates have tested negative, and the Portugal national team has proceeded to play against Sweden in the Nations League.

Back in Turin, Juventus teammate Weston McKennie has tested positive for COVID-19, stated Juventus. The entire team has been instructed to remain in isolation until they are tested again by Italian health officials.
