Art Club is a great way to connect and bond with others in the form of creativity. Art can take on many forms and is essential to humans as it provides relaxation and restoration.

Art Club is a great way to meet new people and work on events together. One of their most popular activities or events is the Day of the Dead art show. During this event, many clubs and sports sell food to others while students perform on stage. This is a perfect opportunity for community bonding as it shows culture in the form of art. During the Day of the Dead art show, many art pieces, as the name suggests, are present. These art pieces are created by various student artists who truly capture the essence of Day of the Dead. 

Art Club is truly a welcoming space for everyone, as it provides a way to relieve stress. Backing this up, I interviewed a member of the Art Club in order to know her thoughts on the club and what makes it so special. Fatima Cortez Ortiz says that the Art Club helps build a community, “especially when it comes to the Day of the Dead show, all of us in the club pour our hearts out in the craft. Not to mention it also brings the entire VAPA community together.”

So what are you waiting for? Become a general member and go to meetings every Wednesday after school in room 22. The art club really showcases how strong the community is within Anaheim.

Para complementar esto, entreviste a un miembro del club para conocer su opinión sobre el club y que lo hace tan especial. Fátima Cortez Ortiz dice que el Club de Arte ayuda a construir una comunidad, “especialmente cuando se trata del Día de los Muertos, todos en el club entregamos por completo a la artesanía. Además, une a toda la comunidad de VAPA.”
