Waffles was our class pet, a Japanese quail, who could no longer walk due to old age.  She would sit in her carrier and watch all the students with great interest.  Students would come over to say “Hi” to Waffles.  When she passed away on October 21, 2021, we all mourned.  Our hearts ache not to have our “Little Chicken.”
