Spring break is just around the corner, and many Anaheim High School students are beginning to finalize their plans for the week off. With around 2,600 students, there are many different ways students plan to spend their break. Some are traveling, others are spending time with family or friends, and many are simply looking forward to relaxing after a busy semester. To get a better idea of what students around campus are planning, several Anaheim students were asked about how they plan to spend their spring break.
For some students, spring break is the perfect opportunity to travel or spend time outside of their usual routines. One student, Melanie Michel, shared that she plans to go to upstate New York with Simon Scholars to do some college visits and campus tours. Traveling or exploring new places is a popular option for students who want to make the most of the week off.
Other students are planning to use the break as a time to relax and recharge. Giselle Soto Luna said she is looking forward to relaxing during the break. “I can’t wait to do absolutely nothing, and bed rot the whole break,” she explained. After weeks of schoolwork, many students see spring break as a chance to catch up on rest and enjoy free time.
Some students also plan to stay productive during the break. Emma Pham mentioned that she will be locking in over spring break. “I have some projects I need to do, and this break is when I’m going to lock in,” she said. Even during vacation, some students use the time to stay active or prepare for the rest of the school year.
With little to no breaks left this school year, and so many different plans among Anaheim students, spring break means something different for everyone. Whether students are traveling, relaxing, or staying busy, the week offers a chance to recharge before returning for the final long stretch.
