On February 10th, 2026, 8th-grade students from Brookhurst, Sycamore, and South Junior High Schools visited our campus during Arrival at A-Town. This special event is what makes student life exciting and thriving here at Anaheim.
Link Crew helped give tours to the incoming freshmen and later had them explore the various extracurricular activities available on our campus. During Arrival at A-Town, many clubs were present, such as the Community Schools Club and the newly made A.O.C. (Association of Ocean Conservation). Other than clubs, other programs like sports and ASB were represented as well through their tables. Being able to showcase the many clubs truly showed what Anaheim is all about! Annabelle Cheely, a sophomore and participant of Arrival at A-Town, shares her experience welcoming the incoming freshmen. She asserts how great it was to showcase Anaheim, but states, “We could have had more programs represented, like the pathways.” Having a diverse set of extracurricular activities is what really sets Anaheim apart from other High Schools. 8th Graders were truly captivated by the school spirit we have here at our school.
During Arrival at A-Town, incoming freshmen were able to visit the newly reopened auditorium to watch band, choir, cheer, APAC, and many more programs perform! Our own Principal Calleros warmly welcomed them. To learn more about the experience 8th graders had, I interviewed Brody Rodriguez from Sycamore JHS. He explained, “I liked arrival at A-Town. It was really fun and made me want to go to Anaheim High School. The performance in the auditorium was really cool and made all those clubs look really interesting.”
As we welcome the new generation to Anaheim High School, we are also able to reflect on the past and the many innovations that these past years have given us, such as the renovation of the track and auditorium.
El 10 de febrero de 2026, estudiantes de octavo grado de las escuelas secundarias Brookhurst, Sycamore y South visitaron nuestro campus durante la Llegada a A-Town. Este evento especial es lo que hace que la vida estudiantil en Anaheim sea más emocionante y próspera.
Link Crew ayudó a dar un recorrido a los nuevos estudiantes de primer año y luego los hizo explorar las diferentes actividades extracurriculares que tenemos aquí en nuestro campus.
Durante la llegada a A-Town, muchos clubes estuvieron presentes, como el Club de Escuelas Comunitarias y el nuevo club, A.O.C. (Asociación para la Conservación del Océano). Además de los clubes, otros programas como deportes y ASB también estuvieron representados a través de sus metas. ¡Poder mostrar la gran cantidad de clubes realmente demostró lo que Anaheim se trata de! Annabelle Cheely, estudiante de segundo año y participante de Arrival at A-Town, comparte su experiencia dando la bienvenida a los nuevos estudiantes de primer año. Afirma lo genial que fue presentar Anaheim, pero añade: “Podríamos haber representado más programas, como los de formación profesional.” Tener un conjunto diverso de actividades extracurriculares es lo que realmente distingue a Anaheim de otras escuelas secundarias. Los estudiantes de octavo grado estaban realmente cautivados por el espíritu escolar que tenemos aquí en nuestra escuela.
Durante la llegada a A-Town, los nuevos estudiantes de primer año pudieron visitar el auditorio recién reabierto para ver las presentaciones de la banda, el coro, las porristas, APAC y muchos otros programas. Recibieron una cálida bienvenida de nuestro director, Calleros. Para conocer más sobre la experiencia de los estudiantes de octavo grado, entrevisté a Brody Rodriguez, un estudiante del octavo grado de Sycamore JHS. Él explicó: “Me gustó llegar a A-Town. Fue muy divertido y me dieron ganas de ir a la preparatoria de Anaheim. La actuación en el auditorio fue genial e hizo que todos esos clubes parecieran muy interesantes.”
Al dar la bienvenida a la nueva generación de la preparatoria Anaheim, también podemos reflexionar sobre el pasado y las muchas innovaciones que estos últimos años nos han brindado, como la nueva pista y auditorio.
