I’ve had Ms. Rodriguez since freshman year, and now that I’m a junior, I feel like I understand her class a lot more than I did at first.
The main thing about her is she does not play in her Spanish class when it comes to phones, talking, or sleeping. If you’re on your phone, she’ll call it out right away. Same with talking while she’s teaching or trying to sleep in class. She notices everything. At first it felt kinda strict, especially as a freshman, but now I get why she’s like that.
Her class is very focused. You can’t really get away with doing nothing, which can be annoying sometimes, but it also keeps everyone on track. She expects you to pay attention and actually do your work.
Even though she’s strict, she’s not unfair. If you’re trying and doing what you’re supposed to do, she respects that. She explains things clearly and makes sure people understand before moving on.
Having her again now as a junior feels different. I’m not as intimidated anymore, and I can see that her rules actually help the class run better. You always know what’s expected.
Overall, she’s definitely a strict teacher, especially about phones, talking, and sleeping. But I still like her as a teacher. You learn a lot in her class, and it feels more organized because of how she runs things.

Lo principal de ella es que no juega cuando se trata de los celulares, hablar o dormirse en clase. Si estás en tu teléfono, se da cuenta rápido. Igual si estás hablando mientras explica o si alguien se queda dormido. Como freshman se sentía muy estricta, pero ahora entiendo por qué es así.
Su clase es muy enfocada. No te puedes salir con no hacer nada, lo cual a veces es medio fastidioso, pero también hace que todos se mantengan trabajando. Ella espera que pongas atención y hagas tu trabajo.
Aunque es estricta, no es injusta. Si estás tratando y haciendo lo que debes, ella lo nota. Explica bien las cosas y se asegura de que entiendas antes de seguir.
Tenerla otra vez ahora como junior se siente diferente. Ya no me intimida tanto y puedo ver que sus reglas ayudan a que la clase funcione mejor. Siempre sabes qué es lo que espera de ti.
En general, es una maestra estricta, especialmente con los celulares, hablar y dormirse, pero aun así me gusta como maestra. Aprendes mucho en su clase y todo está más organizado por cómo maneja el salón.
