The 2025-2026 school year has come to a close, which means new cabinets are on the horizon for the upcoming school year. The clubs on our campus are in charge of maintaining our school spirit, serving as a safe environment for students with similar interests or a place for them to lead and grow. To run a club however, important leaders must take charge to form the club’s cabinet. Here are a couple of next year’s club/program cabinet members who are ready to make next year spectacular.
First we will hear from Dayani Para who is the ASB president. She shares what she’s most excited about for ASB next year, “For next year the thing I am most excited about is to get to work with new people and all be on the same page. Since next year everything technically is going to be brand new to everyone. I am excited to see how we adjust and cooperate with each other to make sure the year goes smoothly and fun for all students!”
We will also hear from Klarissa Borges who is a Vice President of Academic Affairs for Puente. She has to share that “ Puente is a good program to get you prepared for college and be aware of how college students live a day-to-day life.” For her specifically, Puente has been able to not only help her academically but also be able to strengthen friendships with those around her since Puentistas are stuck together for 2-4 years depending if you chose to do AP or not. Lastly Karissa shares that “PUENTE takes you on field trips every year, giving you the ability to view campuses before applying. Don’t miss this fortunate chance, JOIN!”
Next we will hear from Alexandra who is the President of FBLA. She shares that “Joining Future Business Leaders of America can be valuable, even for students who are not interested in business, because it helps build skills useful in almost any career or major. FBLA gives members opportunities to practice public speaking, teamwork, leadership, professionalism, and communication through competitions, projects, and community events. These experiences can strengthen college applications, resumes, interviews, and future job opportunities. FBLA also lets students explore different areas like coding, graphic design, journalism, healthcare administration, and cybersecurity; not just traditional business topics!” 
Also we will hear from Saul Alonso who is the Vice President of Journalism who shares that he has had the opportunity to see Journalism evolve into a strong class where “we can all collaborate and bond together. Through the addition of bondings we have grown closer and became a family.” As journalism evolves even more now no longer being only a class but also a club he hopes to be able to fundraise and be able to have a physical newspaper to distribute to students. This will allow for more exposure to the class and club.
Lastly we will hear from Sebastian Viera who is a RSVP President and the Student Representative to the Board of Trustees. He shares that “People should join RSVP because, unlike years prior, RSVP will be holding general meetings so that students can voice their concerns or ideas throughout the RSVP process rather than limiting it to the summits.” So students should definitely join if they would like to play a role in the changes that can be implemented to the school. 
Along with him we have Amy Rodriguez who is Senior Class President. She shares that seniors should attend their events because “they are going to be catered directly towards them.” She shares that the events will focus on “preparing them for the future, making sure they have fun, and creating a sense of nostalgia for their last remaining years.” Lastly she shared that “based on their continued participation and engagement, the senior class will be able to improve these events throughout the year based on them.” Therefore seniors, make sure to attend all of the amazing future events that will be held.
Now that we have heard of different clubs and organizations, which one will you join?
El año escolar 2025-2026 ha llegado a su fin, lo que significa que nuevos gabinetes estudiantiles están en el horizonte para el próximo año escolar. Los clubes en nuestro campus son responsables de mantener el espíritu escolar, servir como un ambiente seguro para estudiantes con intereses similares y un lugar donde puedan liderar y crecer. Sin embargo, para dirigir un club, líderes importantes deben tomar el control para formar el gabinete del club. Aquí presentamos a algunos miembros de los gabinetes de clubes y programas del próximo año que están listos para hacer algo espectacular.
Primero escucharemos a Dayani Para, quien es la presidenta de ASB. Ella comparte lo que más le emociona sobre ASB, “Para el próximo año, lo que más me emociona es trabajar con nuevas personas y que todos estemos en la misma página. Como el próximo año técnicamente será algo completamente nuevo para todos, estoy emocionada de ver cómo nos adaptamos y cooperamos entre nosotros para asegurar que el año sea divertido y exitoso para todos los estudiantes.”
También escucharemos a Klarissa Borges, quien es Vicepresidenta de Asuntos Académicos de Puente. Ella comparte que “Puente es un buen programa para prepararte para la universidad y entender cómo es la vida diaria de un estudiante universitario.” Para ella específicamente, Puente no solo la ha ayudado académicamente, sino que también le ha permitido fortalecer amistades con quienes la rodean, ya que los estudiantes de Puente permanecen juntos de 2 a 4 años dependiendo de si eligen tomar clases AP o no. Finalmente, Klarissa comparte que “PUENTE te lleva a excursiones cada año, dándote la oportunidad de conocer universidades antes de aplicar. ¡No pierdas esta gran oportunidad, ÚNETE!”
Después escucharemos a Alexandra, quien es la presidenta de FBLA. Ella comparte que “Unirse a Future Business Leaders of America puede ser valioso incluso para estudiantes que no están interesados en negocios porque ayuda a desarrollar habilidades útiles en casi cualquier carrera o especialización. FBLA les da a sus miembros oportunidades para practicar hablar en público, trabajo en equipo, liderazgo, profesionalismo y comunicación a través de competencias, proyectos y eventos comunitarios. Estas experiencias pueden fortalecer solicitudes universitarias, currículums, entrevistas y futuras oportunidades de trabajo. ¡FBLA también permite a los estudiantes explorar áreas diferentes como programación, diseño gráfico, periodismo, administración de salud y ciberseguridad, no solo temas tradicionales de negocios!”
También escucharemos a Saul Alonso, quien es el Vicepresidente de Periodismo. Él comparte que ha tenido la oportunidad de ver cómo el periodismo ha evolucionado hasta convertirse en una clase fuerte donde “todos podemos colaborar y convivir juntos.” A través de las actividades de convivencia nos hemos acercado más y nos hemos convertido en una familia.” Ahora que Periodismo ya no es solo una clase, sino también un club, él espera poder recaudar fondos para tener un periódico físico que pueda distribuirse a los estudiantes. Esto permitirá darle más exposición a la clase y al club.
Finalmente escucharemos a Sebastian Viera, quien es presidente de RSVP y Representante Estudiantil ante la Mesa Directiva. Él comparte que “Las personas deberían unirse a RSVP porque, a diferencia de años anteriores, RSVP tendrá reuniones generales para que los estudiantes puedan expresar sus preocupaciones o ideas durante todo el proceso de RSVP en lugar de limitarlo solamente a las cumbres.” Por eso, los estudiantes definitivamente deberían unirse si quieren tener un papel en los cambios que pueden implementarse en la escuela.
Junto con él tenemos a Amy Rodriguez, quien es la presidenta de la clase senior. Ella comparte que los seniors deberían asistir a sus eventos porque “estarán dirigidos específicamente hacia ellos.” También menciona que los eventos se enfocarán en “prepararlos para el futuro, asegurarse de que se diviertan y crear un sentido de nostalgia durante sus últimos años.” Finalmente, ella compartió que “basándose en la continua participación y compromiso de los estudiantes, la clase senior podrá mejorar estos eventos durante el año.” Por lo tanto, seniors, asegúrense de asistir a todos los increíbles eventos futuros que se llevarán a cabo.
