Pinterest’s name has two separate words in it and you can spot them if you pay close attention. The app allows you to Pin your Interest, people globally use it to save what interests them. It is used by many people including me for many things that have to do with creativity, people like teachers use it at times to plan things for their class whether that’s for class decoration or class plans. Some people use it to get ideas on what they’re going to wear the next day with things that they already own in their closet and see how others style it. Others use it for recipes of all kinds like for desserts or different types of food. People use it for party ideas, room ideas. You get the point. It’s a creative app that can be used for anything you have in mind and if you come up with something yourself, you can post it and inspire others. It’s different communities put into one app. Like many others, you can make comments, but unlike many other apps this one is less drama. I also had the pleasure of interviewing one of many users of this app, Amy Rodriguez, keep reading to hear her responses to my questions.
Michelle Lazaro: How have you used Pinterest?
Amy Rodriguez: I have used it for inspiration for different things, like when I’m looking for an outfit.
Michelle Lazaro: Do you know other people besides you that use it?
Amy Rodriguez: I know that my siblings use it, my mother uses it, and other friends I have.
Michelle Lazaro: Do you think that the app is drama free most of the time?
Amy Rodriguez: Most of the time it is, I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone start a conflict. I feel like the app is less “social media wise” and much more personal based. I see that there is no need to start commenting and creating drama.
El nombre de Pinterest tiene dos palabras, y puedes identificarlas si prestas atención. La aplicación te permite fijar tus intereses (Pin your Interest); personas de todo el mundo la usan para guardar lo que les interesa. Mucha gente, incluyéndome a mí, la usa para muchas cosas relacionadas con la creatividad. Son diferentes comunidades reunidas en una sola aplicación. Como muchas otras, puedes hacer comentarios, pero a diferencia de muchas otras aplicaciones, esta es menos drama. Amy Rodriguez: Lo he usado como inspiración para diferentes cosas, como cuando busco un conjunto para vestirme.

Amy Rodriguez: La mayoría del tiempo sí, no Creo que e visto alguien empezar un conflicto en la aplicacion. Es menos como una red social y mucho más personal. Veo que no hay necesidad de empezar a comentar ni crear drama.
