Have you wondered why there is a big fence at the track? Are you wondering what could be built? We have all been wanting to know the answer the second we saw that gate be put up. I interviewed two students to know about their predictions as well our very own Principal, Mr. Calleros, to know what he has to say about the subject.
I asked students 3 questions to know about their thoughts on the subject. Specifically, I asked “What exactly do you think will be built and why?” Carlos Ramirez (12th grade) responded with this, “I don’t know, probably some bleachers because it makes sense to have another side for the opposing team. I think the project will take 2 to 3 months. I hope it is finished before we enter winter break.” The second student I interviewed was Amy Rodriguez (11th grade). She said, “They’re building bleachers on the track I’m pretty sure. I think it’s definitely gonna take a while. Hopefully it gets finished this year as I think it won’t have to take that long.”
As we all throw in our predictions, Mr Calleros finally gives us the right answer. He said “This project is an extension of the original project when they set up the new field and track and only received one stand so we discussed with the district that we needed another set of bleachers.” His closing thoughts were, “This is another investment by the district in our school. I think they feel that we are moving in the right direction and this is a testament to that.” We as the student body should be grateful that our district is putting the time and effort to make our school a better place.

Específicamente, les pregunté “¿Qué creen que va ser construido y por qué?” Carlos Ramirez (12° grado) contestó con esto, “No sé, quizás unas gradas porque haría sentido tener otro lado para el equipo contrario.” La segunda estudiante que entrevisté era Amy Rodriguez (11° grado). Ella dijo, “Estoy segura que están construyendo gradas. Creo que si va tomar un poco de tiempo. Espero que esté acabado este año porque no creo que se tarde mucho.”
En lo que todos damos nuestras predicciones, el Sr. Calleros finalmente nos da su respuesta, él dijo, “El proyecto es una extensión del proyecto original cuando instalaron el nuevo campo y la pista, y solo se recibió una grada, así que hablamos con el distrito sobre la necesidad de nuevas gradas.” Sus reflexiones finales fueron, “Esta es otra inversión del distrito en nuestra escuela. Creo que sienten que vamos por buen camino, y esto lo demuestra.” Como alumnado, debemos estar agradecidos de que nuestro distrito dedique tiempo y esfuerzo a mejorar nuestra escuela.
