Homecoming week has arrived at Anaheim High School which means that our spirit has come too! Many students around Anaheim High School have been participating in this wonderful spirit week. This spirit is a great motivation and leads up to the homecoming dance. This is our first spirit week of the year and it has proven to be a great one. Many students and staff around campus have been dressing up and taking part in school spirit. This spirit week could not have been done without the help of our senior class cabinet; Carlos Ramirez, Arely Peinado, Alyssa Moreno, Savannah Salzar, and our senior class advisor Ms. Rodarte. We interviewed some students and teachers at Anaheim High School to see how they felt about this year’s Homecoming Spirit week!
First, we interviewed 11th grade student Robert Opyrchal, who has been participating in this week’s spirit week!
Robert was asked the question: Do you think that participating in spirit days is making you more excited for the homecoming dance?
“I do because every day we get closer and closer to the dance and I’m very excited to go to the dance and I can sense that it’s going to be a fun day and fun week with all these spirit days.”
We talked with the senior class president, Carlos Ramirez, and asked him some questions.
He was asked the question: How does it feel to see so many students participating in your spirit week?
He said: “It feels pretty good [talking about spirit week], especially because this is the first spirit week of the school year.”
This spirit week has clearly been an amazing jump into the year as so many people have been participating.
Staff and students had a great week participating and showing their school spirit. As we can see, homecoming is here and there is no doubt students are counting down the days for it. Being the first spirit week of the year I would consider it a success. This year it’s clear that more people have had school spirit and have participated in the spirit week.
We interviewed Teacher Mrs. Rodriguez and asked her: How has the spirit week been for you and are you excited to participate in the days?
Mrs Rodriguez said: ¨I try never to miss a spirit week or day because I think it’s so fun and I love it.¨
Staff at Anaheim High School try to encourage students to participate by giving them Minga points and by participating themselves.
The goal is to raise school spirit and to make sure everyone has fun with the spirit days.
Anaheim High School sure knows how to show school spirit and excitement for homecoming. This is just the beginning of what’s going to be a year full of fun and excitement. This week’s spirit week is the first of many to come. Anaheim High School has had many spirit weeks in the past that will go down in history including this one. Dressing up for pajama day, simply wearing a band t-shirt, or even wearing school colors make spirit days like this memorable.
One thing is certain: homecoming is here and spirit week was a success.
La semana de homecoming a la Preparatoria Anaheim ya llegó, ¡y nuestro espíritu también! Muchos estudiantes de la Preparatoria de Anaheim han estado participando en esta maravillosa semana de homecoming. Este espíritu es una gran motivación y nos lleva al baile. Esta es nuestra primera semana de espíru del año y ha sido fantástica. Muchos estudiantes de toda la escuela se han disfrazado y se han unido al espíritu de la escuela. Esta semana de bienvenida no habría sido posible sin la ayuda de nuestro gabinete de estudiantes de último año: Carlos Ramírez, Arely Peinado, Alyssa Moreno y Savannah Salzar, y nuestra asesora de último año, la Sra. Le preguntamos: “¿Qué se siente al ver a tantos estudiantes participando en su semana de espíritu escolar?”
Contestó: “Se siente muy bien [hablar de la semana de espíritu escolar], especialmente porque esta es la primera semana de espíritu escolar del año.”
Esta semana de espíritu escolar ha sido sin duda un comienzo de un año increíble, ya que muchos estudiantes han participado.
Todos en la Preparatoria de Anaheim, los estudiantes y los empleados tuvieron una semana excelente participando y demostrando su espíritu escolar. Como podemos ver, homecoming ya está aquí y no hay duda de que los estudiantes están contando los días. Al ser la primera semana de espíritu del año, la consideraría un éxito. Este año es evidente que más personas han mostrado espíritu escolar y han participado en la semana de espíritu escolar.
Entrevistamos a la Sra. Rodríguez y le preguntamos: “¿Qué tal la semana del espíritu escolar? ¿Te emociona participar?”
Sra. Rodríguez: “Intento no perderme ninguna semana ni día del espíritu escolar porque me parece muy divertido y me encanta.”
El personal de la Preparatoria de Anaheim se esfuerza por motivar a los estudiantes a participar, dándoles puntos de Minga y participando ellos mismos.
El objetivo es aumentar el espíritu escolar y asegurarnos de que todos se diviertan con los días del espíritu escolar.
La Preparatoria de Anaheim sabe cómo mostrar el espíritu escolar y la emoción del regreso a casa. Este es solo el comienzo de lo que será un año lleno de diversión y emoción. La semana del espíritu escolar de esta semana es la primera de muchas por venir. La Preparatoria de Aneheim ha tenido muchas semanas del espíritu escolar que pasarán a la historia, incluyendo esta.
