For those wondering, a spirit week consists of 5 days where students and staff members can dress up to show school spirit. As homecoming approaches this year, so does the homecoming spirit week. This is Anaheim High Schools first spirit week of the school year so show it some support and participate in the spirit week.
This year’s homecoming theme is “Disco Fever” with that, the spirit days consist of some word play to make them align with the theme. The spirit day for Monday is, “Can’t Stop the Music”, you would have to wear an artist merch, concert tee, or band t-shirt. Tuesday’s spirit day is “Stayin’ Alive in Stripes or Dots”, you would have to wear either stripes or dots. Following that, it would be “Groove in Denim” for Wednesday, wear any form of denim such as jeans, jorts, jean jackets, and much more. Thursday follows, its spirit day would be “Boogie in Your PJs” so wear your pair of pajamas. Finally, Friday is “Decades Day” you have the ability to dress up from any decade such as the roaring 20s or something taken from the dance floor and dress like you’re going to the disco, the sky is the limit.
These spirit days are centered around the students. They are planned to make the students feel like they have the creativity and the ability to dress up and show their spirit for the school. Teachers are also encouraged to dress up to show their spirit towards their students, but also to the school as a whole. By everyone dressing up for spirit weeks, it shows the unity of Anaheim High School. The thought process of planning a spirit week is to try and ensure that the spirit days are legible in order to ensure involvement.

Para quienes se lo están preguntando, una semana de espíritu (spirit week) consiste en 5 días en los que los estudiantes y el personal de la escuela se disfrazan o se visten de manera especial para demostrar el espíritu escolar. A medida que se acerca el homecoming este año, también llega la semana de espíritu escolar. Esta es la primera semana de espíritu del año en Anaheim High School, así que muéstrenle apoyo y participen.
El tema de homecoming de este año es “fiebre disco.” Con eso, los días de espíritu incluyen algunos juegos de palabras para poder alinearse con el tema. El día de espíritu del lunes es “Can’t Stop the Music”, en cual debes usar una camiseta de concierto y playera de artista. El martes es “Stayin’ Alive in Stripes or Dots”, donde tienes que vestirte con ropa con rayos o puntos. Después, el miércoles es “Groove in Denim”, y debes usar cualquier tipo de ropa que sea mezclilla. El jueves sigue con “Boogie in your PJs”, así que usa tu pijama favorito. Finalmente, el viernes es “decades day”, donde puedes vestirte de cualquier década como, los vibrantes años de los 20s o como si saliste del disco, el cielo es el límite.
Estos días de espíritu están pensados para los estudiantes. Se planearon para que los alumnos sientan que tienen la creatividad y la oportunidad de vestirse y mostrar su orgullo por la escuela. También se anima que los maestros participen para demostrar su espíritu no sólo hacia los estudiantes, sino también hacia la escuela en general. Al vestir todos para la semana de espíritu, se refleja la unión de AHS. El objetivo al planear una semana de espíritu es asegurarse de que los días sean comprensibles y así lograr la mayor participación posible.
