Las luces prendieron y se podían ver perfectamente las porristas y los jugadores. El estadio estaba decorado con colores como rojo, verde, y amrillo además tenía varios posters de la película de Toy Story. Las porristas y la audiencia gritaba entusiasmadamente mientras los jugadores hacían su entrada. “POW” hizo la pelota marcando el inicio del juego. Los jugadores estaban listos para hacer lo que podían para ganar.
Berniece Merida Pichardo era otra estudiante de ASB que también ayudó con la decoración del estadio. Nos cuenta que en su experiencia el juego fue muy divertido y un momento tan memorable. En sus propias palabras, dice: «Fue muy emocionante y había mucha energía. Me divertí mucho porque estuve con mis amigos todo el tiempo y nos tomamos fotos muy buenas. Mi canto favorito de ASB es «preguntar cómo te sientes,» y aunque fue súper divertido, preferiría que los partidos fueran el viernes, ya que sería fin de semana y puede quedarse fuera hasta tarde. También recomiendo a todos que vayan porque Anaheim necesita el apoyo y su diversión.»
Mientras los estudiantes seguían el ánimo del juego, desafortunadamente el equipo de Anaheim estaba perdiendo. Aunque estuviéramos perdiendo los estudiantes seguían entusiasmados. En específico Giselle Zambrano, una estudiante del onceavo grado y aparte de ASB, comparte que el juego fue muy emocionante y había mucha energía entre todos los estudiantes sobre el juego. Además comparte que se divirtió bastante especialmente porque pudo tomar buenas fotos con sus amigas y porque estuvo con ellas en general. Compartió que su favorito canto de ASB para animar a no solo los jugadores sino también a la audiencia era “How Do You Feel?” Por último compartió cómo prefería que los juegos se llevarán a cabo los viernes porque se pudiera quedar afuera más y que recomiende que los estudiantes vayan a los juegos de fútbol americano.
Hazelle Urieta, una estudiante que es parte del programa de ASB, ayudó a adornar el estadio. Ella nos cuenta que el juego estuvo lleno de buenas vibras. En sus propias palabras, comparte qué, “It was very fun, very energetic and a lot of cheers. There was a lot of screaming, and even though we lost it was a lot of fun. The freshmen had gone, and they were involved in all the cheers. They were eager to learn from them and participate because of how much spirit there was.”
Otra estudiante, Ashley Najera del 11avo grado y también aparte de ASB, comparte cómo disfruto el juego bastante y pensó que mucha gente no iba a llegar o no estaría emocionada pero hubo mucho ánimo. Para ello lo que hizo el juego divertido y emocionante fue la gente que estuvo muy animada. Comparte que sus favoritos cantos fueron “I feel Good” y “Pump It Up.” Finalmente comparte Ashely que, como Giselle, preferiría que los juegos sean viernes y recomienda que los estudiantes asistan a los juegos de fútbol Americano.
Eran casi las 9 pm de la noche y eran los últimos intensos momentos del juego. Los espectadores estaban muy interesados y llenos de emoción. Todas las personas en el público estaban animando a los jugadores. Pero desafortunadamente perdió el equipo de Anaheim 6 a 40 aunque habían perdido todos todavía tuvieron un buen tiempo viendo el jugeo y los disfrutaron bastante. Todos los estudiantes se divirtieron y les encantó haber ido. Aunque el equipo de Anaheim sí sufrió un derrame contra Fullerton, ganaron la semana pasada el 29 de agosto contra Katella y varios estudiantes disfrutaron del juego.
The lights came on, and the cheerleaders and players could clearly be seen. The stadium was decorated in colors like red, green, and yellow, and also had several Toy Story posters. The cheerleaders and audience shouted enthusiastically as the players made their entrance. The ball was put into play with a “POW,” signaling the start of the game. The players were ready to do whatever they could to win.

In her own words she says “It was really exciting and there was a lot of high energy. I had a lot of fun because I was with my friends the whole time and we took such good pictures. My favorite ASB chant is “asking how you feel”, and although it was super fun I would prefer the games being on Friday considering that it’s gonna be the weekend and I can stay out late. I also definitely recommend everyone going because Anaheim needs the support, and they’re fun.”
While students kept the spirit and atmosphere up , unfortunately, the Anaheim team was losing. Even though we were losing, the students remained optimistic. Giselle Zambrano, an 11th-grade student and a member of ASB, shared that the game was very exciting and there was a lot of energy among all the students. She also shared that she had a lot of fun, especially because she was able to take good pictures with her friends and because she was spending time with them. She shared that her favorite ASB chant to encourage not only the players but also the audience was “How Do You Feel.” Finally, she shared how she preferred the games to be held on Fridays because she could stay out longer, and that she recommends students attend the football games because they are very fun.

It was almost 9 pm and the last intense moments of the game. The spectators were very interested and full of excitement. Everyone in the audience was cheering on the players. Unfortunately, the Anaheim team lost 6 to 40. Even though they lost, everyone still had a good time watching the game and enjoyed it a lot. All the students had fun and loved coming. Although the Anaheim team did face a defeat they came back stronger in last week’s game against Katella that took place on Friday, August 29 with an impressive win.
